Costume contest at Azteca in 2020? YES!! This year's epic Halloween karaoke party will not be happening (thanks for nothing, Covid) but it won't stop us from celebrating our favorite time of year . . . we just have to do things a little differently this time. Next Saturday, Oct. 31, drop in for dinner between 6 and 9 pm. (Dress up and mask up). To participate, wear your best costume and have your picture taken by Azteca owner Jennifer. Prizes will be awarded in three... categories: *Scariest Costume, *Best Costumed Couple and *Best Kids Costume (participants are children age 16 and under). Azteca staff members will judge costumes from the photos on Sunday and the winners will be announced via Facebook and Instagram. An album of customer costume photos will also be posted to FB for everyone to enjoy. See you soon!

The tradition of Azteca's massive Halloween karaoke party must be put on hold this year due to Covid concerns. But walking around this restaurant during October feels so wrong when there's no Halloween decorations up . . . its downright SPOOKY (and NOT the fun kind of spooky!) So yesterday we spent a few minutes hanging up some of our favorites. While this is by no means our usual, over-the-top Halloween decor, it feels good to have at least pulled out a few skeletons and f...uzzy spiders. Come say hello to our awesome busser-turned- Halloween-decorator Leonardo!! He was immensely helpful and made decorating much more enjoyable with his sense of humor and big smile!! Longing for the return of the good old ( pre-Covid) days with this memory of a beautiful singer from a year ago. I miss my karaoke friends and promise to keep you posted on karaoke status. Stay healthy and happy, Azteca friends!

Monday is the ONLY day Azteca opens at 5pm. Every other day we open 11am. So where to have lunch on a Monday? I highly recommend our neighbors, iconic Louies On Main, just down the street. *Excellent burger* with fries and rings. I meant to take a pic earlier in the meal but it was so delicious I was half through it before I remembered . (Everything was delicious but these onion rings are other worldly!) Thank you for an always-great experience, Louies!

Main Street Garden Grove Car Show is the place to be every Friday! Live entertainment, unique vendors, family friendly, fantastic automotive eye candy. Azteca's patio/sidewalk dining is going strong, Downtown GG is thriving especially on weekends because of *your* support. The bars and restaurants are open and ready to serve you. If you haven't been to Downtown Garden Grove for our Friday car show in a while, you are missing out! All our restaurants have moved tables outside for a cool, sidewalk café vibe.
