Fall 2020 soccer update. In compliance with Ventura County guidance anf for the safety of our players, families and Volunteers we have decided to defer our fall soccer program. The board is looking into hosting a Spring season, if it is safe, if we can obtain use of the needed fields, and get volunteers, coaches and referees. More information as we get it will be posted on our website www.ayso304.org as it is available. The waitlist will remain open at no cost to sign up. Please help our families and community stay safe until we can get on the field again.

Monday, May 4 Region 304 will open a waitlist for Fall season. We are planning to host a fall season but there are still many variables. The safety of our players and families is very important. Since all the details are not resolved, we are not collecting payment, this way we also don't need to process several hundred refunds if we can not host the season. Players will be enrolled by the waitlist order. A google sign up sheet is also on the website if you are interested in coaching or refereeing. Without coaches and referees we can't play either so please sign up. Www.ayso304.org ***First player in each division will actually be registered and charged. Full refund will be provided if no season is held***

We haven't gotten any closer to a soccer season for this fall. Our local COVID-19 updates show more and more people testing positive. We are still hoping for the best, but it doesn't look very good right now.... This past week, the Community Colleges decided to cancel sports teams until January. CIF will meet on July 20 to decide what they will do. Los Angeles and Orange Counties have postponed youth sports indefinitely. We are still waiting to see what our local schools decide and what our county health officer says. We want our players and our families to be safe. We will not open up for soccer until it is safe. Lastest update from AYSO Board of Directors and AYSO Office All AYSO Programs Postponed Until Further Notice On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, several member organizations of the US Soccer Federation (USSF) Youth Council mutually agreed to postpone all soccer activities of the respective organizations. This includes practices, training, matches, and tournaments. The Chief Medical Officer for US Soccer participated in the discussions. The Youth Council members included in the di...scussion were US Club Soccer, USYS, SAY Soccer, USSSA, and AYSO. This policy will remain in place until further notice. The five groups will continue to coordinate the response and recovery of operations as the COVID 19 issue progresses and determine an appropriate point in time to return to soccer activities. For AYSO, the following guidance is provided: Regions must postpone spring programs or continuation of 2019 primary programs rather than cancelling them if warranted by conditions such as field availability, availability of volunteers, etc. We are all dealing with an unprecedented event, but, we believe that it is important to bring a sense of normalcy back to the lives of our kids and their families by helping them getting back to playing soccer when it is deemed safe to do so. Some families will need to receive a refund soon due to economic situations. Parents who contact the AYSO Office are being referred to their respective Regions. Regions that make refunds are asked to refund the AYSO National Player Fee (NPF), and seek reimbursement of the NPF from the AYSO Office. This will minimize the inconvenience to parents. AYSO Finance team members are evaluating expeditious ways to reimburse the NPF to Regions and make it easier for Regions to process NPF refunds. Refunds will only apply to play or programs that haven’t already started. Players that have already participated in a primary program in MY19 are not eligible for a refund. The AYSO National Board of Directors (NBOD) and Section Directors endorsed this approach in a teleconference on March 16, 2020. It is difficult to predict when life in many areas will begin to return to normal. The US Soccer discussion suggested that a postponement of all activities would exist at least through the Easter holiday. All parties agreed that action was necessary to assist in containing the COVID 19 outbreak and protect the health not only of our players, but our volunteers and supporters as well.
