We enjoyed bringing in the month of November and this Thanksgiving Season with a little PositiviTEA Happy Hour. Our program included an afternoon Happy Hour Tea Party along with our PositiviTEA session focusing on Gratitude. Gratitude is an emotion expressing appreciation for what one has. It starts with recognition. The ability to recognize the good is something we must practice, like a muscle we must use it to strengthen. It was so wonderful to hear our residents expre...ss all the people and things they are grateful for during our program. Atria at Foster Square Halloween Door Decorating Contest Our residents were given door decorating supplies to bring the joy of Halloween into our community. We have some very creative residents! The voting has begun for our first, second and third place winners. Results will be announced on Friday. All winners will receive delicious Nothing Bundt Cakes!... Such a joyful afternoon connecting residents with their families and loved ones through zoom. Today we held a family zoom Halloween party for our residents in Life Guidance. It was so wonderful for our residents to see their grandkids and great grandkids dressed in their Halloween costumes. The party included lots of smiles and laughter along with the sharing of Halloween costumes and participating in ghoulish riddles and Halloween trivia. It’s was an afternoon to be cheri...shed. Our Food on Film Program this week highlighted the film Phantom of the Opera. Our virtual program focused on the making of this film from the origins and casting, to design and support cast, ending with the actual recording of the album. It was truly fascinating to see how this film was made! Our culinary team served some delicious Phantom Mocktails along with a incredible dinner served with rose pedals. It was splendid!... We had a Spooktacular Happy Hour in Life Guidance today. Residents dressed up in their favorite costumes, enjoyed refreshing drinks and personalized candy corn treats, and moved their bodies to the Monster Mash. It was a happy hour filled with smiles and laughter. #AtriaTogether #SpooktacularHappyHour

Atria at Foster Square Food on Film Program We have had so much fun with our new program Food on Film. We have recently focused on the films UP and TITANIC. Food on Film offers programming throughout the day for our residents including virtual learning about the films, how they were shot, where they were filmed, and conversations from the actors about the films. Throughout the day, we bring refreshments in the afternoon and an evening meal highlighting food featured in ...the film. For the film UP, we served Paradise Punch in celebration of Carl Fredricksen and Boy Scout Russell’s trip to Paradise Falls. We also enjoyed a Moroccan dinner that was absolutely delicious! For the film TITANIC, Punch A La Romaine was served which was the drink served to the first class passengers during the fateful last dinner aboard the Titanic on April 14th, 1912. This drink was based on a recipe from famed French chef Georges Auguste Escoffier, who championed alcoholic shaved ices during the early twentieth century. Our next Food on Film will feature the film Phantom of the Opera. #AtriaTogether #FoodOnFilm

Who doesn’t love a rolling spa??? Our masks and mimosas happy hour was a hit. Residents were able to receive their own personalized flavored sugar scrub along with face masks and of course, happy hour drinks. Fall is in the Air! The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let things go. Crisp Air, Pretty Leaves, Sweaters and Boots, Football, Pumpkins, and Coffee. We love FALL!!! We were able to enjoy a wonderful Fall Harvest Happy Hour with Pumpkin S’mores and cocktails. Such a wonderful way to bring in this beautiful season. ... Every Tuesday we enjoy a program called Food on Film. Our highlighted film this week was Casablanca. Our residents enjoyed champagne and berries as seen in Casablanca along with some Moroccan dishes: Moroccan Lamb Sirloin & Harissa Roasted Chicken served with vegetable tagine and chermula infused lentils. We also enjoyed learning the 5 screenwriting secrets in Casablanca along with a lesson in storytelling. We finished our day with some Casablanca trivia. Do you know wh...o said How extravagant you are, throwing away beautiful women like that? We will reveal the answer next week on our Tuesday Food on Film post. Don’t worry, be Frappe Happy Hour included delicious iced coffees accompanied by liquors of our residents choice. Residents were able to enjoy their drinks and homemade cookies while participating in our virtual Coffee Talks program. We learned a lot about coffee and had several laughs as we tried to answer Starbuck’s coffee trivia.
