Now THIS is cool! A construction company was remodeling a building in Tacoma, WA and found an old box of Lic-ris-ets inside of a closet wall that was being torn down. The people at the construction company did a Google search on the box and eventually reached out to American Licorice to let them know about it. ALC stopped making the item around 1974, so the box had been preserved in the wall for around 46 years. As far as we know, it is the only box like this in existence! A...merican Licorice offered the construction company a year supply of Red Vines in exchange for the box and they gladly sent it to them. It is now framed and hanging on the wall next to a picture of Clarence Kretchmer, who was President of the company at the time this box would have been around! #AmericanLicorice #RedVines #VintageCandy #TeamAtnip
