As today is #nationalstemday, make sure to check out this scholarship to see if you qualify. Every year, Edison awards scholarships to high school seniors who want to make a difference in the world by studying science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) in college.

Carolyn and I mourn with the district as we pray for the families who lost their loved ones in Thousand Oaks. We will not soon forget the bravery of Sergeant Ron Helus of Ventura County Sheriffs department who paid the ultimate price while saving lives of those around him. Thank you to all first responders who rushed to the scene.
