A great instrument is a great instrument. Even if it’s half done. It’s already amazing.... Never played on an Unfinished Electric guitar before. Thank you to @askenguitars for letting me play one for the first time in my life today. Can’t wait to have one of these with me.

I've been working on my own guitars since I was in Jr High, but when Eddie came out he blew everyone out of the water. The first time we heard Eruption we were ...like, "How does he do that?" I loved reading the stories about him working on and modifying his own guitars. I found it inspiring. So when I was a teenager working at Wurlitzer Music in Boston I bought a maple Schecter Strat neck and a DiMarzio body routed just like Eddie's #2...rear loading single bridge pickup. Of course I also wanted to modify it, so I kept working on it, thinking about fearless things Eddie would do with his own instruments. I added a Floyd Rose bridge, routed for more pickups, made it front and rear loading, scalloped the fingerboard, drilled holes in it as if it were hit by a machine gun, modified the shape of the body. It's been through a thousand pickup combinations. It's been my test bed for 38 years. And after all this time and the abuse I put it through it still plays great! Thinking about it, Eddie was actually a big influence on me not only as a player, but as a guitar builder and luthier. I hadn't thought of that before. Thanks Eddie. The Big Jam in the Sky just became a whole lot cooler.

Repost from @riveraamps Was awesome to have our friend and serious guitar slinger @andrewsynowiec come by a couple of months ago. Here’s a clip of him checking out a new old stock original TBR2SL. This TBR is a rackmount all tube stereo preamp and poweramp which has 120watts per side with 8 El34s and 150watts per side using GE6550s. Perfect for powering two full stacks back in the day! Also, featured PCOMP which was a pickup compensation knob for the input, stereo effects loop, dual reverb controls, half power switches, 2 pull for gain stages, bass contour, effects loop assign, and so much more....way ahead of its time.
