Sacred Teachings From The Philippine Ancestral Traditions Thanks to @virgilmapostol for putting together this book, allowing many seekers, including myself, further insight into their Filipino ancestry. It's an interesting thing, this journey of connecting to my roots. My blood and bones are linked to the Philippines, Ireland, England, Scotland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germanic Europe, East Slavic regions, India... with traces from Anatolia, Armenia, Mesopotamia, the Horn of Africa, the Southern Bantu people of Africa, Spain, Mongolia, South America and who knows where else, according to two separate DNA ancestry tests. Filipino, Irish, English and Nordic are the strongest and most recent threads though. With so many lineages, it's a strange thing navigating the bubbling wellsprings of belonging. I've been disconnected from my Filipino roots (all of my roots actually) for most of my life. Only recently in the past few years did I find out that my great grandmother was a Filipino faith / folk healer, so no surprises there that I've been called to this path. The latest whispers have been telling me to send forth some tendrils and explore these roots. So here I am!
