Just want to tell you it’s ok to not be ok right now It’s ok to feel sad It’s ok to feel frustrated It’s ok to feel angry... It’s ok to feel guilty You’re feelings are VALID! But, it’s not ok to just stay there Yesterday was really tough for me. This school year is a lot harder than I thought, especially as a working mom (and essential worker 3 days a week). I let myself feel all the feels, because I knew if I didn’t I’d explode. I also decided that today would be better, and it is. Who knows what tomorrow will look like! Hand up if you protein at breakfast! Did you know that eating more protein at breakfast can help keep you full longer all day long, reduce food cravings, and even reduce late night snacking?! So...2020 sucks. I think we’re all feeling it about now. I know when things get hard, I turn to food...and so do many of my clients. Comfort eating is NORMAL and not a bad thing. Hands up if your don’t want to give up pasta! This is a great example from @collegenutritionist on how all foods can fit in a balanced approach. Make half you plate veggies. Make 1/4 plate protein. Make 1/4 plate carbs.... You’ll feel great, be satisfied and lose weight with your favorite foods. I use this method and more with my clients.
