Artist Donna De La Briandais just finished painting this classic antique upright they have owned for over 30 years and will now be featured at the Petaluma Arts... We have raised $300.00 of our $1000.00 goal. Every donation helps to support our program of mentoring Teens in public art. See the piano live and in person on April 1st at the Petaluma Arts Center.

Yesterday was apprentice Kate’s last day with Artstart. She has been a stellar apprentice, consistent and talented. We wish her and her family the best of luck in their move. We hope kate will continue to be part of brainstorm sessions and projects with Artstart from afar.

Installing the Judy Sousa mosaic yesterday. One more day of final details and the fountain will be complete with lights and water. Thank you Judy Sousa and Roger Moore it seems like a lifetime ago we sat at the kitchen table discussing ideas and concepts. This project has been a supportive journey of creativity for all involved. Shelter in Place mural project mini documentary interviews phase one. The powerful voice of teens and the essential role art plays in their lives. Thank you Michael Woolsey, Andy Sewell, Gio Benedetti and Joshua Peterson for the filming, sound, interview skills and fabulous space. Thank you to the teens participating so far, Alina , Melia and Isabella. Your words remain powerfully present in our minds.
Shelter in Place a Visual Portrayal. The mural continues to be an opportunity to hear and see our teen artists voices reflecting their experience of these times. Adding detail and more color to the mock up. This is mural eventually will be on a city wall in Sonoma County. The wall has not been chosen yet but we are actively looking.
