We're SO excited to announce our Collaborative Grant recipients!
Here's a sneak peek at our latest Installations at the Station public art piece by artist Josemar Gonzalez with The AjA Project! Today they began installing a series of layered doors with images and narratives of historically underrepresented, and even silenced, communities. This piece, "Transcending Perception", invites the viewer to question their perceptions and what factors influence them as they walk through the doors. At night, the doors will project colors, shapes, an...d narratives into the surrounding landscape. This piece is located between the Dorothea Laub Dance Place and The LOT! #publicart #installationart #installations #artinstallation #artsdistrict #artsdistrictlibertystation #explorelibertystation #libertystation

Some serious engineering is going on here! Balance, knot-tying, testing out wood tones. One excellent way to learn is simply trial and error. We plan projects, ...but also slow things down so kids can explore and experience for themselves successes and some of the failures that happen in craft. Like a nail splitting a piece of wood. If your child is in our woodworking series (which starts new each month) and seems to be taking a _really_ long time on a seemingly a simple project... just know that we see them. Every child has their own learning path and rate of exploration, and we're here to facilitate that. See more
