Materials: Steel, Alum...inum, Lucite, and Limestone. 4x4x12’ The First of several Public Art placements on the Historical Duke Street, Downtown Kingston. This phase of the Studies the Material for the Wings was changed to Aluminum. More durable for an out door Installation and give support for the lucite Rods and solar LED lights Solar LED light and reflective features. Translucent Lucite rods as well as the lights will be be reflected by the Aluminum Wings. The lucite will invite the sunlight during the day and the LED lights will come alive at dusk. See more
Main Street Benches Project Call for Artists Scope of Project As a continuation of, and in collaboration with The Main Street Merchants of downtown Palm Springs..., the Palm Springs Public Arts Commission is excited to announce the next phase of the artists painted downtown bench project. This phase is for the 8 benches located on the one block south and the one block north of Amado on North Palm Canyon. This is an open call for artists who like to be considered for this phase of the project. The deadline for photoshop proposals is Wednesday, June 10th. Please see the budget guidelines and a photoshop image as guidelines. The project will be supervised by Tysen Knight, who painted the first set of benches, including proper materials, protective coating, and skateboard guards.
