A lot of you have asked what I’m up to with this underwater bathroom mural- I guess I forgot to mention that part! I’m working on one of many murals going up at Evolve Youth Services headquarters in Arcata- a truly wonderful resource for fostered and adopted youth. The bathroom scene has been designed by the kiddos and will soon feature a sea turtle, sea otter, coral reef, and a poem. When planning the mural, we wanted it to be all encompassing but not too overwhelming or cla...ustrophobic- so I am going with calming aquamarines and will lighten the colors as I build up to the foreground.
