Naomy es una estudiante en Humboldt State University con una especializacion en estudios religiosos y una enfasis en estudios Nativo Americanos. Starting in January, Arcata Recreation will offer free, physically distant outdoor parent groups for new parents and caregivers! There are three different... groups to choose from and participants will enjoy baby blanket time and guided, therapeutic nature walks through the Ma-le'l Dunes and the Arcata Community Forest, or the Headwaters Reserve Elk River Trail. Participation is free thanks to funding provided by First 5 Humboldt, and registration is limited to five families with infants aged 0 to 1 year per session. Pre-registration is required by visiting www.cityofarcata.org/834/Play-Center or by calling 707-822-7091. Precautions will be in place to ensure compliance with State & County COVID-19 health and safety regulations. Face coverings, physical distancing and other health & safety protocols are required for all staff & participants, and additional time will be taken for wellness screenings. Families who have traveled, had visitors from out of the area or possibly been exposed to COVID-19 must wait 14 days before attending.
