Men Reminder that we are meeting for breakfast this Saturday. This is a great opportunity for building friendships with each other which are so critical to living a healthy Christian life. We’ll also spend time in prayer, and receive a brief encouragement from God’s Word. Cody’s Cafe - 8am.... See you there! See more

praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, Ephesians 6:18. Once a month we gather for the express purpose of praying together as a local church. We select several passages of scripture that we use as prayer prompts so that our words are guided by the language and themes of God’s word. Every month our faith is strengthened as we hear God’s voice, pour out our hea...rts before Him, and witness Him answering the prayers of His people. 7pm tomorrow night!

After more than a year, we are restarting Apostles Kids this Sunday! We’re doing a slow roll-out, beginning with ages 2-5. Other ages will follow. We can’t wait to minister to the precious kids of our church and allow parents of these little ones to more heartily engage in corporate worship.... We can’t wait for Sunday!

New year, new series! Historically, the Psalms have been used by Christians and Jews in personal and corporate worship. They teach us to pray, praise, lament, and trust. Written over 1,000 years by numerous authors, the Psalms touch on the whole range of human experience. In the Psalter, we find wisdom and instruction for every season of life. Join us at 10:30!

Tomorrow morning is the deadline for bringing back your filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Jesus teaches us that it is more blessed to give than receive. Jase is experiencing that blessing and you can too! If you’ve still got an outstanding box, make sure to pack it tonight. See you in the morning!

It’s been far too long since we’ve shared a meal together but tomorrow is going to change that. After service we’ll be serving pre-wrapped burritos from the delicious Freebirds in Isla Vista. This will be our final outdoor service and we’ll take some time celebrating God’s faithfulness to us during this uniquely challenging season. Looking forward to being together.... 10:30am DON’T FORGET DAYLIGHT SAVINGS. 9:30 is the new 10:30

We can’t wait to start this amazing Old Testament book tomorrow! We thought it would be encouraging to share the thoughts of the artist who created this graphic to see how he captures some of the major themes of the story in this design. Here’s what he said: The two figures in the image depict "Boaz and Ruth" or "God and his people". I wanted to emphasize the symmetry that resulted from fitting two disparate pieces together to illustrate how God ties people together accordi...ng to his will in ways that we cannot see (as indicated by the stark contrast in Naomi's attitude from the beginning to the end of the book). The embrace between the two figures also evokes the romantic elements in this story. The positioning of the "Redeemer" coming from above to meet "Ruth" coming from below is significant, as is the fact that they are colored differently (Ruth being a foreigner in Bethlehem). In Christ, God has come to us from above to redeem people from every tribe, tongue, and people group. Thanks MinFei, your work blesses us!
