TRASHION SHOW (OCT 22 -- VIA ZOOM) The fun and fabulous Trashion Show will take place on October 22nd via a special virtual event. We will have a FACE MASK TRASHION SHOW to celebrate our 50th birthday anniversary, featuring the fabulous 1950s icon, Marilyn Monroe! 15 local designers will showcase their one-of-a-kind face masks that reflect their individual style for the event. As masks becomes available, we will be posting them in our websitestay tuned! The raffle will take place Thursday, OCTOBER 22 from 5:30pm 6:30pm via Zoom. NEW HOURS: LOCAL ASSISTANCE CENTER (NOW - SEPT 14) For residents and business in the fire zones who need assistance and/or information for re-entry and recovery, Monterey County has set up a special in person local assistance center at: PLACE: Monterey Conference Center 1 Portola Plaza, near Pacific Ave., Monterey DATES: Now Sept 14 ... HOURS: 10:00am 6:00pm The Local Assistance Center is a one-stop shop for those affected by the wildfire. FEMA, state, county and local non-profit representatives are on hand to provide guidance and to take initial applications to those seeking assistance. Fire: Scam Alerts Scammers are taking advantage of the fire situation and preying on people’s fears. Warning: Scammers are impersonating as someone from the sheriff office or PG&E and blaming shelter in place for office closure. Scammers are directing people to donate gift cards or vouchers from stores like Walmart and Target OR asking for personal information for donation purposes.
