If you have friends or family that are Healthcare Workers, please forward the attached flyer to them. I'm facilitating a free support group for nurses as a part of the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles's Covid task force. The task force is also providing support groups specifically for physicians and a separate group for other hospital workers. All of the support groups are led by Certified Group Psychotherapists who are volunteering their time to provide this necessary service for free. This is not therapy, so it can cross state lines. So feel free to share across the country. We want to provide a space for healthcare workers to process the incredible stress they're under.

A Healing Journey Women's Trauma Workshop (West Side location) is gearing up for another round to begin in April. This 13-week intensive is designed to bring emotional, psychological and somatic healing to participants with trauma history (all types of trauma--developmental, shock, and everything in between--are welcome). This is a great adjunctive piece to individual therapy as it offers a lot of the psychoeducation and experiential somatic and mindfulness work that might not fit in a talk therapy session. $70/week for 13 weeks. Group meets at West LA location from 12-1:30 pm on Wednesdays. Please contact me (310) 740-1969 or Maria Gray (310) 319-6500.
Our next round of the WEST SIDE "A Healing Journey" Women's Workshop & Group is set to begin in March. Meets Wednesdays 12-1:30 pm.
1 SPOT LEFT!!! Thursday Los Feliz group 12-1:30 pm starts this week. $70/session for 13 weeks.
Women's Trauma Group -- LIMITED SPOTS LEFT. Maria Gray, LMFT, NMP and I are about to launch the second round of "A Healing Journey" Women's Groups, a 13-week workshop dedicated to helping women address the residual effects of trauma in their lives, break old patterns, and form new, healthier habits. The Thursday lunch time group will be meeting in Los Feliz starting later this month. $70 session/13 sessions. We use a combination of relational, somatic, and systems therapies, ...as well as mindfulness, and apply the work of many of the great trauma specialists in this workshop. This is a great adjunct to individual therapy, useful as a recovery tool, or a great opportunity for your female clients to gather and employ some concrete tools and processing skills that individual therapy may not have time or space to provide. Call me (310) 740-1969 or Maria Gray (310) 319-6500 with further questions or referrals. *The flyer below says 11-weeks but we have extended to 13 based on feedback from previous clients. See more

Repost from one of my most favorite bloggers, Glennon Melton of "Momastery": "You will never find your perfect life balance on the path for the same reason you will never find a unicorn on the path because these things don’t exist. Forget unicorns and balance. If you were perfectly balanced- you’d never have to take any one's hand to steady yourself, and that would be a tragedy." http://momastery.com/blog/2013/10/10/5-things-know-path/
