Words of Wisdom.. "Everyone needs a spiritual guide: a minister, rabbi, priest, therapist, or wise friend. My wise friend is my dog. He has deep insights to impart. He makes friends easily and doesn’t hold a grudge. He enjoys simple pleasures and takes each day as it comes. Like a true Zen master, he eats when he’s hungry and sleeps when he’s tired. Best of all, he befriends me with an unconditional love that humans would do well to imitate. Of course my dog does have his fai...lings. He’s afraid of firecrackers and hides in the closet whenever we run the vacuum cleaner. But unlike me, he’s not afraid of what other people think of him or anxious about his public image. He barks at the mail carrier and the newsboy, but, in contrast to some people I know he never growls at the children or barks at his spouse. So my dog is a sort of guru. When I become too serious and preoccupied, he reminds me to frolic and play. When I get too wrapped up in abstractions and ideas, he reminds me to exercise and care for my body. On his own canine level he shows me that it might be possible to live without inner conflicts or neuroses: uncomplicated, genuine, and glad to be alive. Let other people have their mentors, masters, and enlightened teachers. I have a doggone mutt. ~Gary Kowalski"
What's up FB, Brian here (Animal House Pet Pros) I recently posted this to my personal page and I decided to share it with those of you following Animal House as well.... I hope everyone is making their respective ways through this pandemic. All of us have been impacted in a multitude of ways...For me personally, my company's revenue (Animal House Pet Pros) fell 70% the first few months. Since then we've leveled off at a consistent 40% down month over month. This drop off not... only affects me personally, but all of the people that work for my company taking care of our client's pets in the South Bay (Playa to PV). We've lost several good people during this time for various reasons. The common thread, of course, is the pandemic. I constantly wish I could do more to stabilize the situation for those people, but demand is just low right now for obvious reasons. The upside is that a ton of people took the opportunity to get new pets while they're working from home or just not working. So, the short term pain we're experiencing now will likely give way to a longer term demand that my company and others will have difficulty filling in the medium to long term. That's a good problem. I look forward to experiencing that kind of pain again In the interim, I've been offering my dog training knowledge to the masses. Up until now, I've only offered my knowledge to my dog walking and pet sitting clients on an as needed basis. Often, not charging for that knowledge because it was in the course of my main business. Necessity is the mother of many things. In this case, my need to offset the significant decline in my core business. The pandemic will no doubt have a transformative effect on me going forward, as I've discovered how much I really enjoy helping the good people of the South Bay with their canine conundrums. I speak dog. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. If you know any responsible, pet loving people that would like to walk dogs or cat sit, or both, please send them my way. Maybe that someone is you. I anticipate a demand increase in the near future and I'd like to be able to fulfill that demand to the best of our ability. You can either have them email me directly at [email protected] or send them to our website link: https://animalhousepetpros.com/join-our-team/ Cheers! Brian

We stopped our advertising on FB and Instagram because of the pandemic. We will continue to withhold advertising dollars on these platforms because of FB’s laissez faire approach to hate on their platform. #stopthehate. https://twitter.com/adl/status/1273225364689559552?s=21
