Angels' Closet Charities

These are very challenging times and it has been challenging for all of us at the closet to determine how to be safe and at the same time help our families. Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases and the Governor's extension of the "stay at home" orders we came to the difficult decision to discontinue our "in the closet" shopping appointments for a few weeks. We will be working with our families, packaging outfits including shoes, socks, underwear, and other necessary items ...for the student and schedule a pickup time. By doing this we can still help our kids and their families but all of us can be safe, our students and their families will be safe and still get the much needed clothing assistance. We will exchange clothing that doesn't fit. Clothing returned will be quarantined. We are so thankful we can stay open and provide assistance to the kids and their families. HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are so thankful to have been able to help the kids and their families this past year during the Pandemic. It would not have been possible were it not for you and our amazing Board and Volunteers. First of all I have to thank Angels' Closet Board Members and Volunteers: Carol Bartley Merrified our Treasurer/Bookkeeper/Grant Writer, Sara Thompson- Bookkeeper/Accountant/Computer Wiz, and Tom Williams - Business Management. Our wonderful volunteers: Barbar...a Ford - steam/closet assistant, Kim Green-Loves to iron the clothes and make them look like new for the kids, Carla Lowery- Artistic/Creative designer/NCL Coordinator, Peggy Richards- Closet Assistant/ Closet Organizer, Surebi Sivatrasan - Loves to steam and make clothes look like new for the kids, Marizol Zercher - Steaming, Closet Assistant. Each of these wonderful people not only have their regular responsibilities for Angels' Closet but during our fundraisers and special events they wear many hats as each of them contributes to the success of Angels' Closet, our fundraisers and other activities at the closet. Thank you to all of you who have supported us in helping the kids and the families during this difficult time. The food gift cards, the hygiene products, the funds to purchase necessary clothing and items for the closet, and special request support. We are sincerely grateful. We know with the "stay at home" order it is impacting our families and we are here to help the kids with their clothing needs and special requests. MERRY CHRISTMAS.....We wish each and everyone of you and your families a very Merry Christmas. Hoping you are all healthy and safe during this most difficult time. It isn't easy as many of us won't be gathering with our families for Christmas this year to not only keep ourselves safe but our loved ones safe too. This school year is a school year like no other and how blessed we are to have the help and support from all of you. There are so many needs and requests for help... and you have been here to help us fill those requests. You provided funds to help our families, you provided food gift cards for our neediest of families along with hygiene products, toilet tissue, disinfectants, and other items so necessary for our families. Not only that but you helped us with clothing needs, socks and underwear which we never seem to have enough. Plus, you reached out when there was a special need and you filled that need. We are so fortunate that we were able to open the closet and help the kids with their clothing needs as even though they are not at school they are still growing and the need doesn't go away. This year we did something different and did the Christmas Gift Distribution by Drive By at the Closet- how wonderful it was. Our amazing team Carol Bartley Merrifield, Carla Lowery, Sara Thompson, Marizol Zercher and Surebi Sivathasan) not only prepared all the gifts but were there to greet our families and load the gifts in their car. It was so special to have the opportunity to be with our families and share in the holiday excitement of gift giving for the children. In thanking all of you I didn't list you individually for fear of accidentally missing someone as all of you are so important to Angels' Closet. We are sincerely grateful for each of you personally, for the organizations, and for businesses for all you have made possible in helping the kids. How blessed we are to be able to provide Christmas Gifts to the kids who need a little help. We really must thank the Lambeth family for helping make it possible ]for the Children to have a Merry Christmas. Thank you Carol Bartley Merrified for organizing this great day with Carla Lowery, Surebi Sivathasan, Sara Thompson, Marizol Zercher - you are all so loving and kind and give so much of your time to make a difference in the lives of children we serve. The families were so excited as they drove through to pickup the gifts for their children. Thank you so much each of you for making this day so very special! The pictures are perfect Carol!

Thank you Carol, Carla and Marizol for a fun day of assembling gifts for the kids. This will be our first "drive by" Christmas Gift giving and what a wonderful day it will be. Excitement is in the air as we put the fine touches on the gifts. Thank you all for your donations and support in helping us put some smiles on some faces and help some children have a gift who might not otherwise have one.

'We are so excited to start assembling Christmas gifts. It's going to be an exciting week at the closet as Santa's Elves start preparing surprises for some of the kids. Thank you everyone for your help and support of Angels' Closet - we are grateful we can do what we do to help the kids.
