A year ago we were in Montreal and @nat_karlo was serving crowd entertainment (as usual). To say we miss derby... is an understatement #Repost @tinaletterphotography with @get_repost Day 11: Joy I really miss how much FUN roller derby can be. When a skater or a team is having fun, it spreads joy to everyone: spectators, photographers, the other team, heck I've even seen the most stoic of officials crack a smile here and there. Don't forget that derby is meant to be ...FUN, even when we're not playing it. .... Since 2020 will be the first year since 2006 that the WFTDA will not be having some type of Championship, I will be posting one photo from the 2019 Championships every day for the month of November. My goal is that by reliving these memories from last year we can hold onto the fire that will bring this sport we all know and love back (when it's safe) stronger than ever. Our August Angel of the Month is none other than Princess Piggy! Princess Piggy joined Angel City in April 2018 as a rookie. Since then, she has skated at every team level in the league and her hard work earned her a spot on the travel team roster earlier this year.
