How are we going to recognize our coworkers when we get to the point when we don't have to wear masks anymore?!

A treat we received from St. Agnes Medical Center. Sometimes we are unable to do certain procedures in our office due to medical reasons. We use the St. Agnes outpatient center for such cases. We are grateful to be so close to SAMC facilities.

Dear Patients and Community, We have not forgotten about you, and hope that you are staying well and safe! We are very eager to resume normal patient care, but at this time dental is not in the clear per the California Department of Public Health, the California Dental Association, and Governor Newsom. As the change into normalcy begins, we will keep you updated on all of the changes we will be doing to keep everyone safe. As always, we want you to know that we are here to... answer your questions and concerns and to see true emergencies. Dr. Rahn and Team (559) 435-7993

https://www.dbc.ca.gov/licensees/covid19.shtml Per the Dental Board of California (link above): March 19, 2020... While California continues to navigate the uncertainty of Novell Coronavirus (COVID-19) and limit its spread, the Dental Board of California (Board) is committed to supporting our licensees, applicants, and consumers throughout the course of this pandemic and to provide continuity of service at all times. The Board is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, coordinating with the state and local governments, and working with our partners to protect the health of Californians. We appreciate your patience as we work on implementing new technologies to work remotely and adhere to social distancing guidelines. We apologize in advance for any delays in reaching our staff or potential delays in our processing times. If you need to renew your existing license, would like to apply for a new license, or make changes to your information, we strongly encourage you to log onto your BreEZe account at www.breeze.ca.gov. If you would like to file a complaint, we strongly encourage you to do so by visiting www.breeze.ca.gov. For assistance with your BreEZe account, password reset, or registration process, please call the Department of Consumer Affairs Help Desk at (916) 557-1208 for assistance between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. We have received a number of inquiries from our licensees. The best general guidance will continue to come from the California Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization. However, we are providing the below responses to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in an effort to provide information. FAQs: 1) Will Continuing Education Requirements Be Postponed? At this time the law does not allow this. 2) Are There Fee Waivers Available? At this time the law does not allow this. 3) Should My Business or Practice Remain Open? The Board does not have authority to close businesses or practices. We strongly encourage you to assess whether your business is an essential job function as outlined by the Governor and follow the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Check with your local county health department to determine what activities are also considered essential and non-essential. 4) My Exam Was Canceled. What Does that Mean? The Board recognizes examinations administered by WREB, ADEX, and PSI have been postponed. The Board will be working to ensure that expedited application processing will occur when the examinations are rescheduled and requirements are completed and will be looking at ways to mitigate delays. We encourage any other inquiries to be sent through email to [email protected] as response time may be faster. The Board reminds all licensees to be particularly mindful and respectful that this is a time of high anxiety for all Californians. Sincerely, Thomas Stewart, DDS President, Dental Board of California

Now is as good a time as any to take care of your oral health. Children need guidance early on - from wiping a baby's gums with a wet washrag to holding a toothbrush for children to help guide them with brushing properly. If you are eating lots of sugar or drinking sugary drinks, make sure you are brushing your teeth. Going to the dentist can be scary, and we don't want it to be that way; we're here to care for you and your health. Keep calm and smile on! :0)

To our patients: Your care is our priority. In the event of an emergency - swelling or infection - please go to the emergency room. We will be out for the weekend. If you have questions that are not urgent, you may call and leave a message, or you may contact us on Monday. You may also send text messages to our office phone number, which will be periodically checked over the weekend. Stay safe, and have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for hanging in there with us and o...ur community. Dr. Andrew Rahn and Team (559) 435-7993

The CALIFORNIA DENTAL ASSOCIATION released guidelines strongly recommending that California dentists voluntarily suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care for the next 14 days. That puts us at the end of March. To respect the health and safety of patients and staff, and those in our community, our practice will be open for limited hours. If you have an emergency, please contact us and we will arrange to take care of you. If your appointment falls in the next two weeks..., please expect a call from our office to reserve a new time for your visit with us. Our standards are very high, and we intend to provide you with the best quality care. When we do resume normal treatment hours, we will encourage patients to call or text our office upon arrival to limit the number of patients waiting in our lobby. Please call our office at (559) 435-7993 if you any questions or concerns or if you would like to reschedule your appointment. We will keep you updated with any further changes.
