It was so incredibly hard to see, to stand so close to the ashes to breathe the smoke and the destruction caused by the cal fires and still hold a small intimate wedding ceremony... here is to new beginnings.

In the middle of covid, burnt California forest and darken Smokey skies, A+K tied the knot in an intimate elopement. I can’t be happier for my brace and beautiful couples.

There is nothing, literally nothing life could trow to C+B to get them to postpone their wedding. Not COVID not the huge California fires that almost destroyed their original wedding venue. NOTHING

Light is my paint and shadow is my canvas the first time I heard that quote by @cliffmautner (long time ago) resonated with me, deep to my core, deep into my instinct. Now when I’m trying to make a picture I look 1. For my light (my paint) 2. My composition in the shadows (my canvas) 3. The pose. And I learn from @jbenhartley that moment triumphs everything. ... To me, that’s what makes a powerful image, a beautiful warm moment between two amazing human beings in the right light and background.
