It’s been a year since Azerbaijan and Turkey targeted the Armenian nation through a merciless war. Thousands of brave hearts went to the frontlines and gave their life for a free Homeland. We will never be able to thank them enough. While we mourn for their memory, we also need to recognize that this war is far from over. Azerbaijan and Turkey are still continuing to advance the same agenda that the perpetrators of the 1915 genocide had. We must continue to serve our Homeland unconditionally and serve justice to those who want to keep the Armenian people from existing.

It has been 30 years since the Armenian people rose and reclaimed their independent state for the second time. While we mark & honor this pivotal moment, we can not forget that justice is an ongoing struggle for the Armenian people. Currently, there are hundreds who are caged under Azerbaijani violence as POWs while their forces have illegally occupied regions within Armenia and Artsakh. The mission behind the recent war is still being pursued. We can not rest till justice is ours.

On September 2, 1991, the people of Artsakh stood together and established a republic. This is the first time the Armenian people mark this momentous day since the 44-Day War against Artsakh and Armenia. The world watched with silence as the state of Azerbaijan aimed for their original intentions: to continue the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Since then, thousands have been displaced and hundreds are held as POWs. On this day, we continue to demand justice for all those who believe in a free and independent Artsakh and gave the ultimate sacrifice. We must put an end to Aliyev’s violent pursuit of occupying all Armenian land and annihilating our people.

It was an absolute honor to join the community in this unparalleled moment of welcoming the creation of the Armenian American Museum. This museum is an establishment of tribute to the memories, victories & triumphs of the Armenian people. This could not have been done without the tremendous support from elected officials, donors, and community members. This makes the City of Glendale an even more brighter Jewel City. #myGlendale

In remembrance of Independence Day, we are collaborating with YMCA of Glendale and other community organizations to serve a food drive that is open to all!

Today, the Armenian people mark and remember the establishment of the first Republic of Armenia on May 28th, 1918. Against absolutely every odds, we were able to secure our nation under a free and independent Armenia. With Turkey & Azerbaijan making continuous attempts to harm our statehood today, we must continue the work with the same spirit as we did 103 years ago. 28 :

Thank you Glendale Unified School District! To stand in solidarity with their students and the Armenian people, Glendale Unified School (GUSD) District Board of Education passed a resolution that expressed the district’s solidarity with the people of Armenia and Artsakh and the condemning of Turkish-Azeri aggression. As representatives of the Armenian American community of Glendale, ANCA Glendale would like to urge Glendale City Council to formally recognize the Republic of Artsakh and to commit to divesting from funds that benefit the government of Turkey or Azerbaijan. Both Turkey and Azerbaijan are pursuing a violent war in the regions of the Independent Republics of Artsakh and Armenia. For over three weeks now, schools, hospitals, churches and homes of Armenians have been under attac...k by these two dictatorships. We have suffered numerous civilian and military casualties because of the vile efforts of Azerbaijan and Turkey to colonize Artsakh and expel Armenians from their homeland. Despite the two humanitarian efforts on ceasefire that were agreed upon, Azerbaijan and Turkey continue to undermine the sovereignty and self-determination of the people of Artsakh in this aggressive and violent pursuit. We would like to thank the City of Glendale for releasing a statement that condemned the Turkish-Azeri aggression that is currently taking place on historic Armenian land. However, solidarity cannot stop there. To apply pressure on the systematic aggression led by Azerbaijan and Turkey, we need you to further stand with the Armenian community and recognize the Independent Republic of Artsakh. The only way our brothers and sisters in Artsakh can live in peace is if the Independent Republic of Artsakh is recognized by the world. We strongly urge the City of Glendale to set an example that the international community would follow. Moreover, ANCA Glendale is ready to work with the City of Glendale to ensure that our city is not investing in any means that benefits the government of Turkey or Azerbaijan. It is unacceptable for the City of Glendale to make business deals with countries who participate in active terrorism. We call on the city with the largest Armenian community outside of Armenia to expand its stance against these regimes by also not allowing products made in Turkey or Azerbaijan to have a presence within our city.
