Here’s today’s TIP Tuesday! Enjoy!! Budgeting for your Event Floral & Decor The average budget for event florals is about 10% of your overall budget, add an additional 5-10% if you want additional decor and rentals such as backdrops, arches, signage, etc. ... It’s always ideal for every vendor upon meeting their clients to know exactly what they’ve budgeted in for their services. Ideal but not realistic since most of our clients are planning a wedding for the first time and most likely have NO idea how much to budget for each vendor unless they’ve hired an experienced wedding planner to help. With that said, as an event florist and decorator, I’m very honest and transparent with my proposals. Upon our initial meeting, we’d review with you your inspo photos, samples etc then create a personalized proposal for you that best resembles your vision while sticking to your proposed budget. If you don’t have an ideal budget to begin with, then we’d start with a mid-range average based on your event location and event date. This is so that you’ll have the opportunity to add or subtract to best fit a budget you’re comfortable with. Either way, your Florist/Decorator’s job is to share with you the best ways you can maximize your spending. This can simply be done with different ways of repurposing, floral substitutions, etc. Don’t be afraid to be honest with your designer. Bottom line is that you should be comfortable enough to trust him/her to have your best interest in mind from the get go . . Happy Planning!!
