Dear Patients, In an effort to protect our community, "flatten the curve", and redirect the supply chain of medical supplies to hospitals in need, the office will be closed through April 7th per the guidelines of the American Dental Association. Due to recent coronavirus concerns, we want to take a moment to connect with you regarding health and safety at our office. We want to assure you that our office maintains the utmost standards in infection control and sterilization procedures. All instruments are sterilized in an autoclave, killing bacteria and viruses. We use disposable barriers in all treatment rooms as well as personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, gowns) that are changed with each patien...t. All treatment rooms, equipment and work surfaces are wiped down with hospital grade disinfectant after each patient which kills not only coronavirus but hepatitis, HIV, and tuberculosis as well. We wipe down our waiting room, chairs, tables and door knobs several times a day as well. As a small, private practice that single books patients, we have short wait times and rarely have more than 1-2 patients in our office at a time. We have hand sanitizer available for patients and all employees are trained in maintaining hand hygiene and infection control standards. You can rest assured that we are following all standards and protocols for infection control and that we will do everything possible to keep you and your family safe. In order to protect our patients, employees and the general public, we are asking any patients who are showing signs and symptoms of respiratory illness, fever, those that have recently traveled, and those who have been in contact with a person with coronavirus to reschedule their appointments. If you are uncertain as to whether you should keep your appointment, please call our office at (510) 796-0313 or email us at [email protected]. Our office will be waiving all last minute cancellation fees at this time. Should we suspect exposure to our team, we will also keep staff at home or close the office as needed. A big thanks to Officer Perry and Detective Amy of the Fremont PD. Many of you are already aware, but Dr. Patel was the victim of professional identity theft this past July. After being tipped off by a colleague, Dr. Patel sent out an alert to all the local dental job postings she could find and a 1/2 dozen local dentists came forward with everything needed (text messages, emails, audio files of voicemails) to coordinate her arrest. After filing a police report on a Sunday a...fternoon, Officer Perry went undercover at an interview posing as an office manager the following morning and promptly arrested her and got a full confession. It's because of his hard work and immediate attention to the situation that this woman's already pending court case was sped up through the system. Thanks again to the Fremont PD. We are so proud to be part of a community that takes such good care of it's people! See more
