Miracles Happen When Prophets Pray! - By Rebekah Beckering Miracles happen when prophets pray!! Being that my husband is a prophet, many times I get to see first-hand miracles brought down to earth. Like miraculously a couple will have enough to get a car, for our apostles to have the finances they need for a ministry trip or just some of the simple things like money for bills (that are due tomorrow). There have even been times where students couldn't pay for their studies, b...ut with the power of a prophet in prayer, the Lord made a way. What a prophet prays and decrees into this earth is not to be taken lightly because there will be results! But a prophet doesn't just wake up one day and say, "I am going to be powerfully used today!" No, it takes training and persistent prayer! I remember when my husband was teaching me to pray, at first nothing really happened, the more I was diligent and got comfortable, I started seeing miracles happen! Nice Does Not = Love - By Dalton Beckering When Jesus spoke to the Pharisees He was not speaking as a "nice guy" in fact He said a lot of things that none of us would dare be caught saying in the church today! Jesus was not afraid to rebuke the ones He loved and even go as far as telling Peter "Get behind me satan" or call a genital woman a dog who was not worthy to eat at the table of the Lord. You want to know why? Because nice does not equal love! Jesus was undeniably... filled with the agape love and compassion of God the Father every moment of His life here on earth. He could call the Pharisees a brood of vipers and still give His life for them so that they may live. I wish today more of the Bride of Christ could love as Jesus did instead of love as the church does. Can we please have more prophets and leaders stand up and tell the truth as Jesus did? Can they please put their lives, hearts, and emotions on the line and tell it like it is so that the church may break free and really hear what the Lord has to say? The church doesn't need nice! You can buy "nice" at any restaurant you want, just give them a good tip. No! We need this generation to stand up and start doing things God's way instead of the church's way! A Father's Lesson on Prayer - By Dalton Beckering Fixing things around the house and creating a better home for our family has become one of my favourite things to do with my dad. But it most definitely did not start out that way! Every weekend without fail you can find my dad Craig Toach up to his eyeballs in woodworking projects and almost always sprinkles of paint in his hair. I did not want to join him at first... it was my weekend and on weekends I like to play a game ca...lled let’s see how long I can stay in bed before my family gets worried. Whether it was a guilty conscious or curiosity I found myself helping him with one of his projects. To my surprise, I really enjoyed doing these projects with him! He was funny, he told great stories, he taught me how to take care of my home and my wife, and along the way, I grew to cherish these moments and look forward to our next task together. When the Lord was speaking to me and showing me this beautiful illustration He said this is how a lot of my people view prayer and working with me. They see it as a chore and not an opportunity for me to teach them and share my character with them. Prayer is not a chore it is how I build relationship with my people. Jesus was a carpenter too! I am sure if you looked real close you would see little flakes of wood still hanging on to His clothes. Prayer doesn’t have to be something that you do on your own anymore. The Lord wants to show you something new, train you in something new! It’s not a chore that has to be done as a good Christian, it is an act of relationship between a father and his child.
