GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM ! At American Care Hospice we have an Amazing Team and we want to HIGHLIGHT one of our hard working, sweetest and dedicated LVNs !! Hi, my name is Rebecca and I have been an LVN for almost 11 years. The first several years I worked in the skilled setting (convalescent home) where I gained so much knowledge and experience. While I loved what I did, I always wanted to work in the hospice field. Some people ask, How can you work in hospice? Isn’t it hard?... Yes, it can be challenging at times, but I know from experience how much it can help patients and families who are struggling with their end of life journeys. When I was half way through the LVN program, my amazing mom passed away from cancer. It was so difficult for all of us when she was first diagnosed, and eventually we agreed to try hospice. Losing my mom was hard, but I’m grateful for the comfort, support, and dignity that hospice provided to her and my family throughout her dying process. That being said, I love my job and everyday is rewarding. When I’m not working I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, and watching scary movies. I love going on road trips, to amusement parks, and driving to the beach. Something very few people know about me is that one of my favorite comfort foods since is ramen noodles with Cheetos mixed in. See more
