If you are a current member of the league, you should have received an email today with a link to our annual election. In order to be eligible to vote, you need to be a regular member of the league, in good standing. This means you have a paid player from the 2020 Spring Season, or became a regular member through being elected into the class. If you have not received an email with the voting link, please email [email protected], and we will respond appropriately. While this may seem like an unusual time to have an election, per our constitution we are to hold our meeting/elections the 2nd Saturday of August. While this election will create the new Board of Directors, it is expected that additional Board Members will be added as needed this year.

Don’t forget Friday is your last chance to submit nominations for the upcoming American Indian LL board. You can nominate and person in good standing. The election for the new board on Saturday and will be done electronically this year. We will keep the voting open 3 days allowing everyone a chance to respond. Members I. Good standing from the past season are eligible to vote. Board members will be expected to assist during these down times as well as once the season begi...ns. Important items like field maintenance and upcoming season reset will be paramount to continuation of our league! As we know. Haircuts are tough to come by these days. But our fields finally got one today!!! Staying sharp and hopefully ready to go very soon!!! Thanks to Emma for doing a great job on the mower. And the weed eater! She really wants to get back out there with her team!!

Good afternoon parents, and members. We are still closely monitoring the situation in the City/County, and it appears we are moving closer to re-opening for the season. We have received some preliminary proposals from the city, as well as Little League, which spells out what it will look like when we do go back to play. We understand that the timing of the season has greatly shifted, but we are hoping to still get in a complete season, which likely will consist of Saturday an...d Weeknight games throughout the Summer. Since the season started prior to the shutdown, our league has already paid the bulk of our annual expenses (charter fee, insurance, uniforms, equipment, etc), which makes refunds impossible. If you are unable to participate when the season does start up, you will be credited for fall or next spring. We actually have additional uniforms and spots available if you have additional children/friends that would like to play once we resume. In addition, it looks as though we will be need to find cleaners and sanitizers to keep the field up to standards. If you or your business are able to assist the league in gathering these items, please reach out. We are always taking donations, and looking for sponsors. Our league exists to help the youth of the AV have an outlet to play outdoor sports, and learn the fundamentals of baseball, and sports! So we are so excited to near the starting line of opening again. As we have more concrete plans and guidance we will pass it on to everyone!

Hello American Indian Little League Families. Little League International announced today that they are cancelling the Little League World Series for this year. While this is unsettling news, the cancellation of LLWS has no impact on us having a Spring season. As of now, District 51 hasn’t cancelled TOC or All Stars. We still intend to play ball as soon as social distancing will allow. Stay safe and hope to see you on the fields soon. We expect to have an update when the Stay Home order is modified by the CA Governor and City of Palmdale in mid May.

No baseball, but you could change an animals life forever.
