A statewide Flex Alert, a call for voluntary electricity conservation, will be in effect from 3-10 PM today. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us so far! The COVID-19 Pandemic, along with the wildland fires surrounding us all, has stretched our personnel and District resources beyond anything we could have ever anticipated. In spite of all of this, the District Board of Directors and our firefighters "stand ready" to protect the entire American Canyon community and its businesses and residents. We at the American Canyon Fire Protection District send our thoughts and prayers to the San Francisco Fire Department after they lost one of their own in a Line of Duty Death. Firefighter / Paramedic Jason Cortez was a 13-year veteran of the SFFD who tragically lost his life today. Please take a moment and join us while we honor his sacrifice. Our hearts go out to his family, especially his wife and his two young children.
