Our good friend and local, rural musician extraordinaire, Barry Duncan, passed away suddenly this morning. No other details are available right now. Sue is asking for privacy at this time, so please honor her request. She will let friends know when she is ready to reach out. Barry Duncan was an early board member of the Amador County Arts Council and one of the forces behind the creation & establishment of TGIF Free Summer Concerts in the Parks. We are all bereft. Rest In Peace and Powerful Breath. #ruralsaxophone #ruralarts #ruralgrief

AmadorArts received a wonderful donation of handmade greeting cards and bookmarks from local artists. There are A LOT (much more than what are pictured) and cards are for all occasions! Cards are $5 each + tax and bookmarks are $2 each + tax. If you’d like to purchase, please come by our office in the Amador Senior Center, 229 New York Ranch Road, Jackson, CA 95642 during our business hours Tues-Thurs 9AM 1PM.
Local teachers are in need of sets of watercolors, watercolor paper, black sharpies, oil pastels, and Crayola individual clay packs. If you can donate any of these art supplies, please stop by AmadorArts during the office hours of Tues-Thurs 9am-1pm to drop off any supplies that you can donate. We wish to receive 2300 individual watercolor paint palettes so that EVERY elementary kid can have a set. These 2300 palettes would allow us to provide art supplies equitably to ALL elementary school kids!
Let's come together as a community to virtually celebrate and compete with our artistic talents. There's a category for everyone - you could even create your own category! Just be inspired by poetry and create something to share with the community in our VIRTUAL art gallery. The public will choose the winners in each category.
