TODAY IS THE DAY!! 4.15.21 (swipe and see!!) The CSA ARTIOS AWARDS will stream tonight! (casting society of america) hosted by the beautiful @yvettenicoleb...rown and @officialspikelee will present me with the CSA 2021 Lifetime Achievement Hoyt Bowers Award for my career in casting!! Also receiving this award is the amazing Tara Rubin. This is truly a full circle moment for me! I was a casting assistant for McLean/Dimeo when CSA Artios was in the infant stages and a small luncheon at the BH Hotel and I not only happily did the grunt work for the event that I could not attend, but I prayed my boss would win for her brilliant casting work on the series Cagney and Lacey and that one day I would not only attend but win an Artios award for my work and thank everyone who touched my journey. AND look at GOD!!!! She won and years later I won the Artios for casting the movie Malcolm X and now receiving this huge honor!! If you know me then you know I say this always- WHAT GOD HAS FOR YOU IT IS FOR YOU!! But they needed the shot so my two brothers were holding the back of my dress (yes! dress!, it was hand-me-down time, and that's all there was.)
