2020 will continue to bring unprecedented challenges to the people of Sunnyvale. Movements and moments are all around us, as is the need to make sure our families are safe, our community is accessible, and that we have spaces to share and play so that everyone may thrive. Equity, justice, sustainability, and more of our dreams are possible. With bold leadership, we will make them real. Vote Alysa. #VoteAlysa #Justice #Sunnyvale #California #BayArea #Election2020 #Vote

We all rise by lifting each other. It was an absolute pleasure to lit drop for Meghan and to see her do the same for me. There’s a popular narrative that there is only space for one at the table. And this belief is exemplified among women. We’re pitted against each other and conditioned to fight for one seat. Meghan and I are living proof that you can build your own table. Collaboration over competition is the answer to dismantling exclusive systems. We’re creating change t...ogether and I hope you’ll vote that change into office. #VoteAlysa #Feminism #Feminist #Sunnyvale #California #BayArea #Vote #Election2020

Very disappointed that one of my opponents would accept an endorsement from a serial harasser, someone who would unconstitutionally threaten someone’s job for expressing criticism in a public forum. I’ve stood up to sexual violence and written theses on civic participation - and put my findings into action. Read the thread.... https://twitter.com/rf_mehlinger/status/1321173036368719872

Even before the Pandemic, we’ve known that healthcare is essential yet inaccessible, and the Pandemic has only amplified this need. Sunnyvale can fight COVID-19 together, but only if we have proper access to healthcare and strongly enforced safety measures. Vote Alysa to have your health prioritized. #VoteAlysa #COVID19 #Election2020 #Vote #Healthcare #California #BayArea #Sunnyvale

Election Day is now. If you haven’t, return your ballot. If you have, boost us all up and find people who haven’t voted and help them out. If you’re in D2 in Sunnyvale, vote for me. I’m here because I care about you and I care about this community. I care about getting (excuse my french) sh*t done. For you. It would be the honor of my life.... Whether you’re in D2 or not, vote like your life depends on it. Because it does. #VoteAlysa #Election2020 #Vote #California #BayArea #Sunnyvale #Vote

My name is Alysa Cisneros and I’m running for District 2 Sunnyvale City Council. I am a proud daughter, sister, mother, and woman. I run to show other girls that no matter what somebody says, they are leaders. Their ideas and voice matters. They can change the world. I run because that’s what girls do. #VoteAlysa #Feminist #Feminism #BayArea #California #Sunnyvale #Election2020 #Vote

I had the opportunity to speak with the third grade at a local school about what it’s like to run for office. A few kids told me/their teachers that the most important thing I said was that when I was in 3rd grade, I was very shy. And that it was hard to make new friends sometimes. And also that I loved science and wanted to be a paleontologist. But now I’m running for office. Those kids actually said that it made them feel a lot better knowing that about me and gave them hop...e that they will be confident talking to people too one day! I wish someone had told me that way back when. 1) some of these kids are already qualified to be debate/forum moderators. 2) these kids want to see their friends again so WEAR A MASK, IF FOR NO OTHER REASON. 3) everything we do today is to make things better for our kids. We can’t lose sight of that, I know I won’t.
