Vehicle vs. fire hydrant earlier today at Marshal and Alpine Blvd.

Wondering why traffic was stopped on I-8 eastbound at Tavern Rd this afternoon? A vehicle impacted the rear of a slow moving semi-truck causing the vehicle to overturn. Fortunately the driver was properly restrained and suffered minor injuries. #alpinefire #seatbeltssavelives

E17 responded for a vehicle fire on Alpine Heights Road yesterday.

This morning, crews from Alpine Fire and Mercy Ambulance responded for a single vehicle accident on South Grade Rd. Extrication tools were used to remove one of the passenger doors in order to get the driver out. One patient was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

A 7 acre fire is burning on Japatul Valley Rd at Red Hawk. Currently the fire is not a threat to Alpine.

National Night Out 10-6-2020 free drive thru event taking place at the Alpine Library 5:30-7:00. California Highway Patrol, San Diego Sheriff and the Alpine Fire Protection District all together to promote safety.
