Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 160th Infantry Regiment 19.10.2021

Early morning of Sunday July 18th, 2021 we suddenly lost our brother Ethan Montez. The lost of our brothers passing has been a complete shock. For those who knew Ethan and Ian, their bond was immensely strong. Ethan's dedication was to the U.S. Army and his country. With this unfortunate passing we ask for anyone help as little or as much as you like to donate.

Thunderbolt Service and Family Members, as we reintegrate back to our normal lives following three weeks of high-intensity collective training and team buildi...ng activities please consider the following: 1. Make a plan for re-connecting with your family, friends and work. Don’t just wing it. Make a plan to spend time with key people in your life the first week you're back. Share your positive and negative experiences here at XCTC. Our families have held the world together while we’ve been away. Listen to their experiences and share yours. Tell them more than just it was hot out there. Let them in on some of the fun stuff too. 2. Take some time to reflect on your wins when you get home. Don’t go right back to work without some reflection. Did you build new friendships? Did you learn new skills? Did you grow in your ability to lead and influence others? Write it down. Think about it. Celebrate and integrate your wins. The lessons earned over the last 3 weeks can be lessons learned by others later. 3. Sometimes training can remind us of old wounds. Sometimes it can create new ones. If you are struggling with an experience here, make some time to talk or write about it. If it keeps bothering you, reach out to the Chaplain or BHO. There is no need to suffer on your own. Ignoring it will not make it go away. 4. Check on your battle buddy. We have shared dirt, sweat and MREs over the last few weeks. Don’t let that stop Sunday. Check in on each other over the next month. If you know your battle buddy is looking for work or has a challenge ahead of them this summer, check in on them. We are the Thunderbolt Brigade, we don’t leave anyone behind. I'd like to thank Chaplain Nathan Graeser for packaging this message! Dominate the Fight! T6/T7

Soldiers of Angry Company successfully completed the eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) event at Fort Hunter Leggitt to enhance overall combat readiness. The event made the organization more effective, confident, and resilient to accomplish missions in a challenging operational environment. Great work to everyone who both participated and supported our company! Stay motivated and keep up the Fire! - Angry 7 ALL IN!
