It’s happening !! Sabrina and Rita are spending the whole day today , and tomorrow doing call backs and rescheduling all our missed appointments. Hang tight! W...e will get you all on the books!! At this time we are doing curbside service for drop off and for pick up. Please remove your leashes and collars and we will use our own Aloha slip leads to escort your doggies safely in and out of the building.

This is a video of kids learning to eat breakfast appropriately. The border collies had all been starved, so food was a big deal to them. Feeding them was mor...e time consuming because I would lock them in different rooms so they wouldn’t inhale their own food and then jump on the nearest dog so they would give up their food to them. This is almost a month into fostering Lexie and she has come such a long way with patience and learning respect. See more

Again, we aren’t naming names or pointing fingers, but unfortunately another feline sibling that is black and white and fl...uffy all over, vented his pent up frustrations by biting or scratching Amelia’s little foot.. After an antibiotic shot and a pill for pain, Amelia will be hanging with me at the ranch until we are back at the shop. So, for everyone who walks the Main Street and Anacapa Block, Amelia will not be in the window to greet you, but she’s ok. See more

I stopped by the shop to visit it, and all the animal residents. I’ve concluded the animals are very bored without their steady flow of fans.

This is the results of spending two full days with the new dogs. We’ve been hiking every day and then learning manners.

Our first walk! My hoodie is full of dog food and they get rewarded for moving forward. Kelly and Lexie Lee are very smart and very active. Kelly, the tri co...lor, is very forward and would make a great agility dog. Lexie Lee, who was one of the mamas in the group is quieter and more observant. Both of these dogs would be great for an active person. See more

In uncertain times, we all tend to handle stress very differently. Some of us buy alcohol and chocolate, while some of us handle the stress by fostering more f...eral dogs. Since I will be spending more time at the ranch, I reached out to PawWorks to help them with their group of unadoptable dogs.
