I was having nightmares about getting robbed. Another local repair guy (whom I shall not name) refused to come look at it- he actually told me to fix it myself. Um, what?! So I called Alliance Overhead Door: Brad and Bo (?) arrived promptly when they said they would, and replaced the sensors for a fair price. Brad ad...vised me that my system is old (truth), but as the motor still works he didn't try to upsell me on anything. The door closes reliably now! 1/2 star off for not knowing that compatible DIP switch replacement remotes ARE readily available. I contacted Genie and they set me on the right course. The spring had broken and we heavily rely on our garage. I called and they answered the phone the first time. Brad was awesome and was able to fit me in on Friday between 9 & 11. He showed up shortly after 9, assessed the issue and got to work. They were finished and cleaned up before 10 and everything was as good as new!
