GBE Audits Itself on Sustainability In our efforts to become one of the most sustainable businesses in the industry, GBE conducted an in-house office sustainability audit. The audit included an implementation plan which suggested various recycling programs and supply purchasing policies to ensure that GBE leaves the smallest environmental footprint possible. The audit was conducted by GBE’s newest intern, Scott Walter, who provided an outside perspective to our environmental...-friendly strategies. These new strategies are currently in the process of implementation, reducing carbon emissions, the use of non-renewable resources, and contributions to landfills. In addition to this sustainability plan, GBE is the proud owner and occupant of a LEED Silver Certified building providing even more water, energy and waste reductions. With the sustainable development practices being performed together; GBE is well on its way to becoming one of the most sustainable companies in the industry.

On June 5, 2013, Gotama Building Engineers, Inc. (GBE) celebrated our 15th Anniversary with a Luau in our LEED Silver Office Building. Guests enjoyed authentic Hawaiian food, tropical cocktails as well as games and prizes. The office was transformed into a tropical paradise with grass skirted covered tables, exotic tropical floral arrangements, surfboards as wall décor, and guest were welcomed with leis. We were so honored to have been able to celebrate this milestone with our friends in the industry. Thank you for your support!

Experienced MEP Revit Specialist Needed!!! GBE looking for a project coordinator with 3-D Revit and AutoCAD experience. Responsibilities:... Will be modeling projects using Revit MEP. Will troubleshoot issues in Revit MEP as projects progress to completion. Guides the development of Revit MEP standards and procedures. Works closely with Senior Project Engineers to produce models. Follows GBE’s drafting standards to produce clean and visually appealing drawings/modeling in an accurate and efficient manner. Qualifications: Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD from set up of new project to completion of project. Experience in design and production of projects. Must be able to provide a sample of your work if selected for an interview. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate design/modeling with other team members and clients. Excellent work ethics and exhibits proactive work habits. Positive attitude, professional appearance and ability to work as a team member, communicate with others and share responsibility to work towards common goals. This is a full time position. FUNCTIONAL AND ACCESSIBLE Enhancing West Los Angeles College The DLR Group created a new identity for WLAC by designing these two buildings to act in perfect balance to energize the entry plaza and provide a welcoming and convenient outdoor meeting place, enhance curb side drop off, increase visibility and support intuitive wayfinding. ... GBE provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for a new four-story stand-alone 45,000 sq. ft. Classroom building and a four-story 50,000 sq. ft. Student Services building. The Classroom building includes conference room, child development lab, administrative offices, lecture rooms and featuring Smart classroom with cameras, connections to a satellite uplink and telephone systems for distance learning. The Student Services building envelope is a mirror image of the Classrooms building. This facility features meeting rooms, recreation area, career and transfer center, financial aid center, health service area, business center and much more. Targeting LEED Gold certification, both buildings are designed to exceed Title-24 standards and include sustainable design elements such as water efficient landscaping, 30% reduction in building water use, optimize energy performance, CO2 monitoring, thermal comfort monitoring energy efficient HVAC systems and utilizing local and regional materials for construction.
