L'imortelle - the flower that never dies. Helichrysum italicum is the name of the flower that does not wither even when harvested. The plant is primarily grown in the mediterranean region and carries a sweet, honey fragrance. The use of this medicinal plant dates back to the ancient greeks when they used it to heal from battle wounds. It is said to contain antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties, which is why it is widely used by cosmetic companies today. https://novidan.ba/about-helichrysum/

Pierre Corneille was a very famous French poet and dramatist, considered the creator of French classical tragedy. Corneille wrote his first play, Mélite, before he was 20. He was included in les cinq auteurs, a playwright group formed by Cardinal de Richelieu. In 1637, he wrote Le Cid first introduced as a tragicomedy, later only a tragedy. It is considered one of the first French classical tragedies. Watch this enactment of Le Cid on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eg85jBWFFoM

French Saint Highlight: St. Adjutor He was born in 1073 in Vernon, France where he was made a knight during the First Crusade. It is said that he escaped his captors by praying to Mary Magdalene, who broke his chains, and then he proceeded to swim all the way back to France. Today, Saint Adjutor is the patron saint of swimmers and those in danger of drowning. https://www.mentalfloss.com//5011/15-unusual-patron-saints https://www.catholicherald.com//a_patron_saint_for_swimme/
