All Girl Skate Jam

Patty Segovia started the All Girl Skate Jam contest in 1997 for women to earn prize money, increase their exposure and provide space to skate together.

Skateboarding is not about learning tricks all the time, That’s why girls are so intimidated, they think that’s what they need to do. It’s just about having fun, it doesn’t matter how many tricks you have.

On HBO, Skate Kitchen follows brooding teen, Camille (Rachelle Vinberg), as she joined a gang of female skateboarders.

Inspired by the real-life Skate Kitchen, all all-female skate crew the young women are in.
