Allendale teens presenting the Mayor of Oakland with orginal art work.As the Councilmember for District 4, Mayor Quan supported Director Elena Bermeo's creation of a "Young Entrepreneur Project" in which youth, ages 13-21, learn to silk screen original artwork of "positive messages" on shirts and tote bags. They also learn about marketing plans, sales, and budgeting. The new entrepreneurs will sell their products at farmers' markets, coffee shops, and online.
