Also celebrating our gorgeous ranch dog Spirit today!!! Today is 6 years since we rescued her. Forever thankful to @arminvestigations @taylorarminvestigations for allowing us to bring her all the way from Florida. Richard found her on the street next to her mom who had been run over and killed by a car. She wouldn’t leave her side and was too scared to go to anyone who tried. He was able to get her into his car. We couldn’t love this girl more

I miss you with every piece of my soul. I’ve had a hard time finding my passion and inspiration at the rescue since you’ve been gone. I realize this is because you were my inspiration and we were a team. I’m finding my strength again and know that to truly honor you means making the work we started together really mean something for all the other animals who need us. Celebrating you today with my whole heart my sweet handsome perfect gentleman Until we meet again. XO, your Mom

Introducing our exciting collaboration with @theladyandthesailor... The Mission: A little Rescue, founded by Brandi Perse strives to rescue, rehabilitate & rehome animals who would otherwise end up without the love and compassion they so greatly deserve. We focus on rescuing horses and livestock that have been neglected and abused. They come from deplorable conditions. Their spirits are broken and their health compromised. We are committed to making sure they are loved and... cared for at our facility until they are ready to start their new lives. We want to help these animals find their true soul mates and forever homes. We are the voice for these incredible souls. Our Partnership: Sharing 15 years of friendship and a love of fashion and activism, Brandi Perse, Brittany Correy and Kristin Hans Fernandez have brought their talents and passions together to partner in supporting A little Rescue. Inspired by Brandi's tireless work and dedication to the rescue, Brittany and Kristin joined her efforts by designing a limited edition, vintage inspired sweatshirt. Merging Brandi's vintage aesthetic, Kristin's bold yet refined styling and Brittany's love of the perfect sweatshirt, the collaboration came to life. Made in the USA, from the highest quality cotton - each sweatshirt sold supports the Rescue’s efforts in saving lives. Buy yours now online, www.theladyandthesailor.com or at their Brentwood store. THANK YOU

Conversations with #Sierra #FannyGranny . She’s eating like a champ. The vet was out today. She has definitely got skeletal and muscular issues. Needs groceries and has very little vision. Sweet as pie. I feel like in a month from now she will come to life and have a little fire in her personality. Thank you to the two ladies who cared enough to reach out after she was abandoned at her boarding facility

Horse racing?!?!?!?! I know I have friends who are deeply Involved in this sport. I’m not saying there aren’t owners who truly love their animals and take incredible care of them during and after they retire. I just don’t understand how we are continuing to race these animals as 32 horses have died since December at Santa Anita. Forget the countless others that have perished prior. Even before this, I’m opposed to the discarding of animals after they’ve given you th...eir blood sweat and tears. They can no longer make you any money so they’re thrown away like trash. I see them at auctions, feedlots, Craigslist, etc. My Louie and Meia, both Thoroughbreds, are examples of this. Add in the drugs they give injured horses to perform, the unnecessary and excessive breeding, the intense training that these young bodies are expected to endure. I’m sorry, I know people say my horse loves it. It is our responsibility to weigh the risks and consequences that are in plain sight. We are their voices!!!!!!!! Something really needs to change. These people and this industry who swear they love these animals need to step up and protect them. See more
