Although times were the best, it was one of the best team performances we've had in years at Mt. SAC. Our Freshmen girls and Sophomore boys took 3rd place in their races (even after our top freshmen girls took a wrong turn in the 1st valley loop). Individually, Jose Velazquez, who raced while sick, ran the 7th fastest time in school history (16:22), and for the girls, Anahi Rosas ran the 13th fastest (20:54).

Anahi Rosas ran 20:18 (7th), Alexandra Campos 21:34 (20th). On the team side, our F/S Boys and Girls are going into League ranked 1st (boys are undefeated). Varsity boys ranked 5th, Varsity girls 5th, JV boys 4th, and JV Girls 2nd. Mt. SAC is in 1 week.

Crazy couple days. Friday, our Varsity team ran at Woodward Park in Fresno, facing 90 degree heat. Saturday our JV and F/S teams ran at the Ram Invitational at Westmoor HS against 30mph winds. Great races for the conditions.

Our first race of the season and it was a very fast course at North County. Jose Velazquez, Andrea Cornelio, and Angel Gonzalez all medaled at the Jackie Henderson Memorial Invitational. They competed against some of the top teams in the area and powerhouses from the Central and Sac-Joaquin Sections

Congrats to Jesus Martinez c/o 2019 for successfully walking on to the CSUMB Cross-Country team making the top 7 in a 4 mile time trial where he ran his PR in the first 3 miles (16:50) with one more to go. Very proud of Jesus, he has so much potential, as he only ran for 2 years in high school.

That's a wrap! We end the season with a tough race in the smoke and Jose missed State by 5 seconds. Boys finished 7th as a team (1 place better than last year), while our girls finished 11th. It's been a great season, 3 freshmen girls on the varsity team and the boys were the 2nd fastest team in school history!
