The latest word from SF Rec and Parks Dept regarding closures of dog parks via contact with the department regarding Alamo Square Park: "Alamo Square remains open to off leash dog play provided owners maintain social distancing." full letter from SFRPD below: "Under the latest Public Health Order (https://www.sfdph.org//HealthOfficerOrder-C19-07b-ShelterI) issued by the Department of Public Health, effective April 1st, all enclosed dog play areas are closed to the public to... slow the spread of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus. This order is in effect until further notice from the Department of Public Health. In the meantime, residents may still walk their dogs in our parks, provided that proper social distancing is employed. That means not gathering, staying 6 feet from others unless you live together, and alerting others of your presence when passing on trails.
