If an email, post, tweet, private message, phone call or online promotions look suspicious, don't open it, you can go to the source directly and verify what is being asked for. Upd...ating Your Operating Systems, Internet Browsers & Software is crucial: Software developers push out new updates very very often to avoid hackers by built in security and other misc updates to improve performance all around. All devices have software updates, staying up to date with software will keep your device compatible and protected. Backup Your Data: If your data does become compromised, having a backup could save you money to avoid recovering your data from a ransomware attack. Check your backups once a week to make sure your back ups are running properly, contact us for a backup recommendation. Update Privacy Setting: Many phishing scams involve your information that is showing on your public profiles to make it seem like they know you. Once you update and change passwords to avoid passwords from being guessed, turn on two step authentications if available and do not let your accounts auto login or remember passwords.
