The Alameda Art Association has been supporting our Local Artists for 73 years. One of our first art shows was held in 1945, and again we would like to invite you to visit us to view a Special showing of our members newest creations in a Group showing. We will be featuring our works during the months of November and December 2017. To help you in your shopping experience we will have extended hours on the weekends starting on Black Friday. We are located in the Beautiful South Shore Center in Alameda between See’s Candy and Beverly’s. As one of our newest members at the Alameda Art Associations Art Gallery, we are proud to share Dan's works with the public, as our Artist of the Month for June 2017. DAN REILLY: "I was born and raised in San Francisco, and with the exception of a two year "visit" to Maryland, I lived in or near San Francisco until 2013. Prior my moving to the Russian River, I had lived in Alameda, CA, where I raised two wonderful children. ... Photography to me is a way to capture the beauty of the areas I visit. I enjoy sharing this beauty with others through my photography. When I take a photo of something and it turns out just the way I saw it before I put the camera up to my eye, I get a sensation of accomplishment and awe. Sometimes afterwards when I have made a print of that image, I can conjure up the feeling I was experiencing when I first happened upon that place, even if years have passed."
