The AIDS task force is part of the Justice and Compassion leadership team of the Cal-Pac Conference (calpac.org) We support other teams that work in areas such as disability ministries, peace with justice, boarder ministry, child poverty, holy land initiative, to name just a few. This work continues with persistence and faith on behalf of the work team, and all our funding comes from local churches.

Hiv/aids task force United Methodist Cal-Pac Conference 07.01.2021

I know many of you have heard the recent news about the General Conference of the United Methodist church deciding to continue to exclude LGBTQ folks. However, Strength for the Journey retreats will remain a safe, loving , spiritual camp where we we can support and care for one another. We receive our funding primarily through grants, fundraising and individual contributions. None of that will change. Neither will our advocacy for persons living with HIV/AIDS , nor our resolve to face hate with love. We see God in everyone , everyone, everyone. Rev. Steve
