Our natural resources are part of a wider network of planetary and universal resources that provide all we need to thrive where we are. It is the greatest portion of the world economy, yet is often abused, sometimes out of ignorance, often because of greed and imagined needs. These resources provide the air we need to live, the food we need for nutrition and the common space to access the wealth of our very health. These resources do not come free. I saw this movie last night and was deeply moved. It is a documentary that has many stories and lessons to share about man, nature, relationships with all species, challenges, risk, wisdom, values, spirit, and life itself. If you decide to watch it, I suggest you finish it and share it with people you care for. It has more than just entertainment value. Even the scenery is worth watching and sharing with our children as a testament of the grandeur that is and may no longer be around in the future.
