A common misconception surrounding hospice care is that hospice itself is a place. Hospice and palliative care can be provided comfortably at home or in a medical facility. Hospice isn’t a physical place, but a care philosophy that is focused on providing comfort not only to terminally ill patients, but to the patient’s loved ones as well. In our Agapé blog, we discuss what to expect with at-home hospice care. Click to read: bit.ly/AtHomeHospice

We all die eventually but every loss is personally felt by the person’s close loved ones. At Agapé Hospice, we understand that and that is why we are focused on our patients more than anything and on their loved ones as well. Our bereavement program offers support and counseling to the patient, the family, loved ones, and any care staff, for a minimum of thirteen months following a patient’s death.
Frequent hand washing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of COVID-19. But it's crucial to wash correctly. Here are the CDC’s 5 official steps to washing your hands the right way, every time: 1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap. 2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails. 3. Sc...rub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the Happy Birthday song from beginning to end twice. 4. Rinse your hands well under clean, running water. 5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them. See more
