We wanted to give a special shoutout to @chloeegray and @seenbychristal for rescuing this sweet stray pup and giving her the love and care she so badly needed! Thank you so much for letting us meet Charlie and help her on her adventure to health and happiness.

A couple important and commonly misunderstood facts about dogs and their teeth: 1. Periodontal disease (teeth/gums) is the most common disease seen in adult dogs. 2. Providing your dog with good dental hygiene can add 2-4 years to its life! 3. A dog’s mouth is NOT actually cleaner than a human’s mouth.... 4. The most common sign of periodontal disease is bad breath (aka dog breath). Our vets specialize in dental care for pets and can help answer any questions you might have about the health of your dog’s teeth or gums!
Luna came in for her first visit and won the hearts of the entire staff! Just look at that face.
If you’ve recently become the proud parent of a new puppy, congratulations and we can’t wait to meet your baby! Here’s a quick outline of the ages your puppy should be scheduled for shots: Round 1: 6-8 weeks Round 2: 10-12 weeks Round 3: 14-16 weeks... Round 4: 12-16 months Round 5: Every 1-2 years. Of course your vet will help you determine what’s best for your pet when it comes to vaccines, and feel free to call us with any questions. We know it’s a lot and we have discounted pricing on vaccines and want to help make it as easy as possible for you to keep your pup healthy!
Well hello there, Handsome! We met Yoda when he came in a few days ago for his shots, and we can't stop thinking about him ever since!
See you in 2020! Happy New Year to all of our special clients! Thank you for including us in your pet families, and we're so excited to keep taking good care of your loved ones this coming year.
Say hi to Cloe, who's looking fresh for the holidays with her new 'do from us. Bring your pets in for baths, haircuts, nail trims and anything else they need to get ready for the New Year!
Which one of these foods is unsafe to give dogs: ? Test your knowledge of whether several common foods can be safely fed to dogs with a quiz at https://www.akc.org/dog-food-quiz/ and let us know how you do!
Keep the holidays PAWsome with a few simple steps for pet safety: 1. Keep poisonous plants like pointsettia and mistletoe out of reach. Pine needles can also cause digestive blockage if eaten. 2. Decorate smartly. Tinsel, ribbons and glass decorations can bring disaster if ingested, so keep them out of reach of curious snoots.... 3. Skip the table scraps! Holiday food tends to be extra rich and can upset pet stomachs. Keep toxic chocolate foods far out of reach. 4. Stick to your pet’s schedule as much as possible, and make sure they have a safe spot to retreat from festivities if they want.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Affordable Animal Hospital!
Thank you for the amazing Yelp review, Leah!
