We're releasing a comprehensive controls system for EV conversions using a Tesla Large Drive Unit (LDU) Base Drive that significantly increases horsepower over the factory output. Honda has announced that it will withdraw from Formula One as an engine supplier, stating that it wants to focus more of its R&D towards fuel cells and battery electric vehicles instead of combustion engines. Things are getting serious for the FIA RX2e class and we can't wait! The new EV Rallycars headed out to Spain’s Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya where Oliver Eriksson took it for a few laps, sparking the interest of Johan Kristoffersson. It was my first experience of driving an electric race car. The first time is always fun, and it was definitely exciting. The initial feeling I got was quite impressive, and it would be great to do some more testing and try out some more new things. From everything I’ve seen so far, RX2e promises to be a real step in the right direction and a great springboard to World Championship level. Kristoffersson said of the RX2e car after driving a few laps of his own.

RevoltSystems just dropped a Tesla crate motor setup for Hot Rods! It has an output shaft with a Strange Engineering slip yoke for mating to the driveline and it uses GM LS engine mounts, which are plentiful in the swap world. Brilliant.
