Adorations Botanical Artistry

Confession: I admit I struggle with being a "content creator" for this instagram account. I want to be the one to choose the photos.... write the perfect heart-filled words, and tag the collaborators making sure not to miss anyone. Truth be told it is slow going because although I am a writer, I write more in my mind than on paper, my 'content' is meant to be in the PHYSICAL hands of my audience for the fullest experience, and although I know that online is a reality all its own, I need to stay grounded (both literally and figuratively) in THIS life to have access to my divine spark. What about you? Do you feel the duality of both realities? I prefer the tangible but know I must dance amongst these lines to engage you. And yet something is coming this summer that may bridge the gap... care to guess?

Always a fan of Helen Keller quotes, today I came across this one, " Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of of the overcoming of it." Today I am reminded how the simplest of words strung together can inspire hope. I am reminded how fortunate I am to be able to craft and create even in these times. I am acutely aware of my blessings as well as my responsibility. I have purposefully chosen to be quiet lately. Being still amongst all of the noise has been necessary to my creative process. In these seemingly anonymous times I am gathering strength for the long road ahead and fortifying my plans. What are you doing with these times? I would sincerely love to hear from you. Practical Magic gets credit for all of the kids chanting at them for being witches. What is your all-time favorite Halloween movie? Or better yet, what was your favorite Halloween costume(s)? For me, it was hands-down my various ventures into being a witch. The first year was just so-so, {photo 2}, then came the red hair the following year and voila {photo 3+...4}, add a touch of with the bittersweet twigs to the hat and green shadowy eyes. It's a delight to be playful. I need more of that in my life. Sometimes what is going on inside wants an outward expression. Now, now, I am not saying I want to be a witch, but more the mystery of it all. Now what is your favorite Halloween costume ever and what part of your personality did it express? #halloween See more

Today is National Simplicity Day, it honors transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau. The day advocates a life of simplicity and recognizes the life of Thoreau. Henry believed that our focus should be more on nature, knowledge, self-reliance, and creating our path. The major goal of Simplicity Day is to make us take a step back from our on the go-lives and focus on the basics, at least for a day. I can alter my life by altering my attitude.
